Accessibility at Savi

Savi is built so that every conversation can be understood — by everyone. That includes the 466 million people worldwide with hearing loss, blind and low-vision users on screen readers and refreshable braille displays, users with motor disabilities, and users on the autism spectrum or with cognitive differences.

Standards we follow

WCAG 2.2 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the international standard adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice under the ADA and by the European Accessibility Act 2025.
Section 508 — U.S. federal accessibility requirements.
EN 301 549 — the European harmonised accessibility standard.
Apple Accessibility Nutrition Label — full disclosure of VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Voice Control, and contrast support for the iOS app.

Built-in accessibility features

For deaf and hard-of-hearing users

Live captions — real-time on-screen captions during in-person conversations using your device microphone.
Speaker labels — every line of dialogue is colour-coded and tagged by speaker so you can follow multi-party conversations.
Hearing aid compatible — works with any Bluetooth or Made-for-iPhone hearing aid through your operating system.
Transcript-first results view — readable, monospaced caption mode with adjustable size and high contrast.
99-language transcription & translation — including Tagalog and Taglish. Translate any session into a different language for a deaf reader from the results page.

For blind and low-vision users

Screen reader support — semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and live regions throughout the web app. Tested with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Refreshable braille display — full keyboard navigation and proper heading structure work natively with braille displays via the user's screen reader.
High-contrast mode — toggle in account settings; meets WCAG AAA 7:1 contrast ratio.
Large text mode — scale all text up to 200% without loss of functionality.
Read-aloud (TTS) — every session result can be read aloud directly from the results page with adjustable voice and speed.
Refreshable braille bridge — send the executive summary or full transcript to a connected braille display as Grade 1 or Grade 2 contracted braille.
Braille-to-audio — accept braille input from a refreshable display and convert it back into spoken audio for hearing collaborators.

For motor and cognitive accessibility

Full keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable and operable with the keyboard alone.
Reduced motion — respects the system prefers-reduced-motion setting; animations are disabled when requested.
Plain-language summaries — every recording also produces a short, jargon-free version of the summary.

Known limitations

We're committed to honest disclosure. The following are areas where Savi does not yet fully meet our own standards:

Native iOS VoiceOver coverage and web parity are now matched as of June 2026; remaining gaps are tracked publicly in the accessibility addendum.
Some marketing pages still use decorative gradients that fall below WCAG AAA contrast; the application surface itself meets AA throughout.
The Savi pendant hardware is not yet certified for hearing aid telecoil compatibility.

Conformance status

This statement was last reviewed on June 25, 2026. Savi by Savage Techs is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. A formal VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) is available upon request for procurement teams at enterprise@savibysvt.com.
